Hi there

I plan on building a media pc for use in the living room and want to use a Hauppage 150/250 in it. I already have a nebula usb device on my main pc upstairs, and had an aerial specially fitted to that room for freeview so can't easiy put both capture devices on the new media pc.

Now if i network these 2 pcs can i use dabdig installed on the media pc to control the nebula on the other networked pc, or does it need to be installed on the same pc to control the card. Will i have to have 2 sets of dabdig/digiguide running?

Is this possible?

There are a few devices that DABDig can control from remote.

Nebula DigiV is one what should be possible to get working.

If you enable the HTTP interface in DigiTV then you can configure DABDig to submit scheduling events via it.

It is not widely used - so there might be a few wrinkles (one is that the web browser will remain open afterwards).

Thanks for the quick reply. I just wanted to know if it was technically possible and it seems that it is. I'll start finalising my media pc plans over the next few weeks and when i get the time (damn diy jobs!) i'll start to build. I do like the look and the price of the asus pundit-r, should look really neat next to the tv!

Thanks again

scott
