I've been working on my DABdig setup a lot this week.. and have been scouring your website accordingly. I noticed this for the first time

"I have 2 WaveFinders - it was great when their price came down, did you go out and buy a second one as well - but only one DigiGuide - how can I schedule different things in each one? "

Your answer seemed to imply that it was possible to run two Wavefinders on one PC? Is it? How so..?

You would need 2 PCs ... but only one DigiGuide (on one of those PCs or even on a 3rd).

I have updated the text in my local dabdig.htm to make this clearer. Will be in my next release.

Making DABDig drive either would be a bit fiddly - but possible (after a bit of editing of some text files and maybe copying a working installation). You could then choose to record from WF1 or WF2 (DABDig wouldn't spread the requests around automatically).

If you really wanted it supported slightly more easily then I could add more integrated support for a 2nd Wavefinder like I have support for 2 TiVo boxes.

Ah, I see. I've got two wavefinders, but not two PCs. Yet...

To be honest, I think the WFs might be on their way out (for recording), long term, if Nebula sort themselves out. A couple of slave tuners is much better value than a second PC.

Agreed - plus you can finally get XP SP2 up and running.

However, given that the Wavefinder (when working) is happy on old boxes - then you might come across one that someone is throwing out.

Yeah, I think I'll keep one going for the forseeable future, primarily for streaming to my Slimserver. Plus I have a relative that I let listen to it across the internet (he can't get soccer commentaries any other way).

Mainly for recording Radio 4 and occasional BBC 7 or Radio 3 for me - plus sometimes I stream BBC7 into a room with no DAB radio ... via SlimServer (I have 2*SB2).

Incidentally.. what I've been working on this week is automating the process of adding video to my new video iPod. It's working remarkably well, just a few things to needle out.

At the moment, I can record any video via DigiTV, and any audio via the Wavefinder. I use postprocessrecord to get things going after - when I do a LAME convert for audio, and use ffmpeg to convert video.

Then I've got a little javascript file that adds everything into my iTunes library automatically, ready to be synced onto my iPod.

It's pretty sweet. The only thing I have left to do is work in a process to use pvastrumento on the video from the channels that need it (namely Ch 4, E4, More 4 and Five). But should get that going soon.

Anyway, thanks for the amazing software and all your help on these boards, it's very very much appreciated.

We have all this technology, but none of it talks to each other.. but it's special when you find something that helps join the dots up.

I can post my batch files/javascript files if anyone's interested.
